Characters, Setting and Plot . . . the Rest Is Still Being Written.

Sometimes, life is sweet. Sometimes, it’s just a bunch of BS. That’s where peaches & poppycock comes from. And this is where I tell the stories about those two extremes in my life… and a lot of things in between.

Hey, y’all. I’m Kristin. I  live in Atlanta, where I used have a full-time job in advertising. After a series of layoffs, my part-time obsession with figuring out what I really want to do when I grow up has become full-time. Revitalizing this 10+ year-old blog is going to be a part of that!

I’m a travel junkie who’s always adding to my extensive collection of unfinished writings, to-do lists and crossword puzzles. Those who have been following along for a while will be pleased to know I’m no longer a book club failure, thanks to the ladies in my neighborhood. I still can’t follow a recipe to save my life, though. If there were more hours in the day, I would sleep more, write more and explore more. Truth: my life is epically chaotic, but I’d be bored to death if it wasn’t. (And we installed a wine fridge during the pandemic, so… there’s always a cold bottle of Chardonnay if things get to be just too much!)

And this is my crew: A husband who may or may not be an international secret agent, a newly-minted teenage daughter who keeps me from becoming a frumpy old lady, a snuggly Whippador who daily debunks the myth that dogs don’t like hugs and an insane 80-pound Ridgeback mix who thinks he’s a lapdog. I really dig spending time with all of them, so you’ll probably read about them a lot around here.

Long story short… When I started this blog, I would have rather died than write anything here about #agencylife. But as this blog evolves, that may change. So in between random posts about things that interest me, fun/stupid things I find, DIY experiments/disasters, the nonsense that goes on in this crazy house on a daily basis, you may also see the occasional post on a marketing campaign or topic, AI experiment or an update on my job search. There will be f-bombs, so saddle up. But the plan is to have a little fun, share some stories, post a few pictures, find a little inspiration and just maybe give a little, too.

I’m glad you came. Seriously. It’s no fun in here alone. So get comfy and let’s get to know each other.

It’s gonna be awesome.
